My Experience & Journey
-
My journey of movement started out as an Artistic Gymnast at the age of four. My love for acrobatics took me through hours of vigorous training five days a week and regularly competing. I moved from Artistic gymnastics to Tumbling and Team gymnastics, which I loved.
It was not just medals & trophies I won, but a great deal of discipline, confidence and passion for moving my body and discovering new ways my body could move. I still love to tumble and train in acrobatics today!

Dancing has always been a passion of mine. Starting with Ballet at the age of four, I have dabbled with tap, modern, street, contemporary and partner dancing over the years.
Using my body to express myself and bring flow, dancing gives me the freedom to create and heal at the same time. Dancing has always been able to enhance my happiness and take me out of my head. Clearing stagnation and creating space for me to think and act more clearly. Dance has really been a big element to maintaining my mental health.

At the age of nineteen, I moved to the Swiss Alps and trained to become a Ski Instructor, which I successfully did for 13 years and still do. This gave me a completely different set of skills, although still fine tuning an array of movements, I was also educated in mountain safety - connecting me with my wild surroundings and learning how to read the mountains. This was great for keeping clients safe, but also for enabling me to go on some seriously cool adventures in nature!
I have coached Ski Instructor courses, helping them prepare for their Instructor exams. Along side this, I ran Biomechanics & Movement training sessions for them to learn how their bodies work - their natural limitations, their current movement ability, and how to train their bodies to expand their range of movement to improve their performance on the snow.
-
In my early twenties, I trained and qualified as a Sports, Deep Tissue, Therapeutic, Indian Head & Chair Massage Therapist. Learning the ins and outs of our anatomy & physiology was groundbreaking as it was the start of understanding how multifaceted and complex our bodies really are. I have always loved creating spaces for people to melt and rejuvenate. I feel lucky to have massaged all over the world and to have worked with Sport professionals.

In my mid twenties, I embarked on a Yoga teacher training course. The physical movement of yoga (asanas) came very naturally to me, the philosophy however, was the beginning of a whole new journey!
I was used to a fast paced, keeping busy, always moving and a loud internal monologue. As I began to embody the mindful element of this practice, I found myself diving head first into the intricate workings and power of the mind. Jumping onto all sorts of courses and practices that would help tap me into and rewire my busy brain that had collected all sorts of memories, trauma, habits and patterning.

Fascinated by how connected our body and mind really are, I trained as a Holistic Health Coach, Stress & Mindset Management Coach & Gut specialist.
A three part course focussing on how to heal the body naturally, focussing on preventing and healing autoimmune diseases. It linked what we put in our bodies, our daily routines, what we surround ourselves with, what we tell ourselves and how we manage what life throws at us.
This was another powerful step to understanding my body and mind whilst being able to use it along my journey for sharing tools with others.

In recent years, I have found a new love in my life…Acroyoga (partner acrobatics). Igniting a giant fire inside of me, this creative art form combines so many of my passions and brings a whole new meaning to community, trust, connection, exploring movement and what’s possible - in the funnest and most beautiful way!
This is one of my favourite movement forms to teach as it bring so much joy. Finding cool and fun positions and flows with a partner or a group of people makes for never ending possibilities and pushes the boundaries or what you think you’re capable of.

Lastly, but probably one of the greatest forms of self expression - is the freedom and peace that painting/drawing, singing, playing music and writing have brought me over the years. Unleashing and channelling my creativity in whatever way it wants to come out, has brought much healing and joy. I have taught creative workshops encouraging natural flow, letting go of control and shifting the narrative of what ‘an artist’ is.

For the last fifteen years, I have travelled from country to country, largely being based for only three to six months in each place, exploring cultures, practises, rituals and observing how us humans adapt to this fast changing world.
Although much of this was magnificent, I have also endured immense sadness and discomfort, heartbreak, lost myself and the will to live, been given diagnosis’s of depression, bipolar and psychosis. My deep understanding for my mind and body are what gave me the strength and determination to find natural ways to overcome and heal these states some call ‘crazy’, but I call weird, wonderful and insightful.
With the guidance of spiritual mentors and various teachers and creators, my tool box has expanded with ways to ground, heal, create and find happiness.
